Cookies & browser storage

Draft for review · Updated 7 October 2026

These draft pages are not a compliance certification or final contractual terms. CueStem’s legal operator name and business address, processing arrangements and younger-user safeguards still require confirmation before these notices are finalised.

Cookies and similar browser storage can keep you signed in, remember preferences and help prevent misuse. This is an inventory draft, not a consent mechanism.

Sign-in storage

The account service stores session information in your browser so authenticated requests can work. Session persistence and expiry depend on account settings. Sign out on shared computers; clearing browser storage can also sign you out.

Preferences

Currency and the music-root path used for exports are remembered in local browser storage until changed or cleared. A sidebar preference, where that control is used, can set a sidebar_state cookie lasting seven days. These values are separate from your saved preparation records.

Free AI abuse prevention

A cookie named cs_dev identifies a device for free AI allowance checks. Its configured lifetime is 400 days. It is combined with hashed identifiers, including a network identifier, to limit repeated free claims. It is not an advertising cookie, but it is a tracking/anti-abuse mechanism and still requires a documented legal assessment.

Consent and outside services

No optional analytics or advertising integration was identified in the app review. This does not establish the cookies used by hosting, sign-in providers, Stripe checkout or other external pages. Those services have their own notices.

The operator must assess applicable UK PECR and EEA rules, including whether each storage operation qualifies for an exemption. No optional tracker should be enabled before any required consent. A cookie banner that does not actually block optional tracking would not solve this obligation; this draft does not claim the anti-abuse cookie is exempt.

Your choices

You can clear or block cookies and local storage in browser settings. Sign-in and some preferences may stop working. Contact admin@cuestem.com for questions about stored identifiers or to request review of their use.
